Pat Sczebel is an effective worship leader because he understands that to serve a congregation in this way, one must be a lead worshipper. And as Pat leads, he models before the congregation a contagious enthusiasm for joyfully worshipping the Lord that is instructive and highly edifying. His song selections are theologically sound, his presentation style is refreshingly understated, and his musical gifting is evident. I thank God for Pat's ministry at our events, and for the many times he has helped us to worship the Lord in spirit and in truth.
I've been blessed for years by singing some of Pat Sczebel's music. You probably have too, even if you weren't aware you were singing his compositions. But I've also been blessed to participate in a conference where he led the music. His ministry was God-centered and designed to encourage the congregation to worship God, not to sing along with the band and watch those on the platform worship God.

Pat Sczebel has been a dear friend for many years. Whenever he leads worship in song I’m affected by his heart for God’s Word, the gospel, God’s people, and the Spirit’s presence. On top of that, he’s a godly husband and dad, and a fantastic songwriter.
Pat is one of the most broadly gifted ministers I know and he is easily one of my favorite worship leaders. I would say that characteristic elements of his leadership both in teaching as well as in musical worship would be a palpable joy in God, a firm grasp of biblical truth, excellent musicianship, and a discernable love for people.
